Assistant Secretary Salton Sea Policy, California Department of Natural Resources

Bruce Wilcox has been recently named to the state position where he will act as the state liaison and coordinator for Salton Sea programs. He also works closely with the Salton Sea Authority on Salton Sea issues and is part of the projects committee developing a Salton Sea restoration plan. He also managed the development of the Salton Sea Restoration and Renewable Energy Initiative program.

Previously he was the Manager of Environmental and Salton Sea programs for the Imperial Irrigation District.  There he managed the development and implementation of the QSA water transfer mitigation program.  Wilcox holds a Bachelor of Science degree in reclamation and restoration ecology from the University of Wisconsin.
