David Herrlinger
Hot Purple Energy
David Herrlinger is co-founder and Vice President of Hot Purple Energy, a Coachella Valley based rooftop solar and energy improvement company. David is a graduate of Babson College, where he earned a B.S. in Management.
Raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and educated on the East Coast, in the 20 years of living in California, David has maintained the entrepreneurial spirit honed at Babson to build numerous successful businesses, infusing technologies into the ground up and retrofit residential construction. From content delivery over Fiber Optics to Smart Home Technologies David has maintained a focus on enhancing quality of life while lessening environmental impact. After a decade of residential infill development in Los Angeles, David moved to Palm Springs to work with Nate Otto in developing the construction-based company, Hot Purple Energy, that focuses on energy savings and sustainable rooftop solar energy production.
His interests vary in design, architecture, technology, to biking, and adventure motorcycle travel. David is an active board member of the Desert Contractor’s Association as well as the incoming chair for the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women mission this February.
